Depending on the type of switch you have, the "define interface-range" may
at least let you define regularly used port ranges that can be called up
using the "interface range macro" command. Also "switchport host" will
set the mode to access and turn on portfast, so that at least reduces your
typing by one command.

Subject: Alias that does multiple commands at once?

Is it possible to create an alias that does multiple commands at once?

Reason I ask as that we're moving our data center, and are going to be
connecting all devices into 4 distribution switches (currently they
connect directly to the core switches), and so I'll configuring a few
hundred switchports and wanted to be able to type '100f' and have it do:

switchport mode access
speed 100
duplex full
spanning-tree portfast
no shut

Can this be done? Icouldn't find a way to indicate carriage return on a
single line. I know I could copy /paste, but it'd be nicer to have
alias for many different switchport configurations and to be able to
call them up at will.

Thanks!
Mike W.
