Yes, you are right.

But I also have a wondering issue.

WRED is a congestion avoidance protocol.

Then, "Min-Threshold" means what ??

I don't know why it is used.

Any idea? Thanks in advance.

  Hi all,
  I am trying to interpret the last parameter of this command.
  At the router it is showing as following;

  r4(config-if)#random-detect precedence 5 40 60 ?
  <1-65536> mark probability denominator

  r4(config-if)#random-detect precedence 5 40 60 20

  Does this mean that if the number of packets exceed the range of 40
  to 60,
  the router would randomly drop the packet at the rate of 5%, a packet
  for
  every 20 packets?
  Did I interpret it correctly?

  Thanks a lot.

  JP
