Agreed Charles
High end CCIE, meaning not your cracker-jack variety fresh out of lab but
rather someone with a great deal of experience doing the things they want
this position to perform for them and it sounds like they are willing to pay
for that experience. I would make at least one suggestion.
If you interview, ask what the typical work load/work week is like? Fly
time? Travel time? On Call? This may be a ONE MAN type operation wherein
"YOU" be the man, but you also can't get no vacation because "YOU" be the
man. (or woman as the case may be)
Knowing the answers to these questions may help determine if the job is
right for you, whether they think it is nor not.
Good Luck

You could ask 10 people, and probably get 10 different answers. Low number
might help, but not if that CCIE has been in a management position for 2
years and hasn't really worked with technology. Others that have just
passed may have years of experience with Cisco and other vendors. I'm
thinking it's a headhunters polite way of saying they're not interested in
inexperienced lab-rats.

Can not help but ask a question: Dual CCIE is easy to define. But how you
define a high end CCIE ? By his # ?
