I don't think there is any NBAR on 2500s. Just not enough memory to do it.
It's available on 1700, and 2600 and above. Not sure about the older
4000/4500s though. 12.2 has most NBAR support, but 12.2T has some more
features, like support for Kazaa, etc. But really, it's just a little more
protocol support. Anything supporting NBAR should be sufficient for
learning the basics.

Could somebody please advice, which is the most suitable IOS, I should use
for my 2500's and 7500's for my LAB.
I tried some, but a lot of the releases do not have support for NBAR and I
find different commands for different releases.
