Redistribution works by looking into the ROUTING TABLE for routes of the
protocol being redistributing.
In your example you redistribute connected into OSPF, all the connected
routes in the routing table are redistributed into OSPF. When you
redistribute OSPF into EIGRP all the OSPF routes in the routing table are
redistributed into EIGRP. However the connected routes that have been
redistributed into OSPF are not OSPF routes in the routing table (they are
connected routes) and are therefore not redistributed. You will need to
redistribute connected directly into EIGRP to achieve your goal.
As a result of the way redistribution works it has the benefit of not
introducing routing loops and therefore it is not necessary to do route
filtering when doing three-way redistribution on a single router.

This is different. If I do not use the network command
for the loopback and do a redistribute connected
instead, there will be a type lsa in the ospf
database. Why doesn't this get propagated to eigrp
when I do a redistribute ospf under eigrp?
Thanks
