Hi group,
I read from DocCD and cisco.com that the distribute-list command has some
restrictions :
1) distribute-list in does not support OSPF
2) The command distribute-list out works only on the routes being
redistributed by the autonomous system boundary routers (ASBRs) into OSPF.
It can be applied to external type 2 and external type 1 routes, but not to
intra-area and inter-area routes.
I believe the reason behind is due to the link-state nature of the protocol
itself. Can anyone post any reference to further explain the reason behind,
especially #2.
Thanks
