Hello, Group. Sparse-mode means low number of MC host compared to the total
number of hosts. Sparse-dense-mode allows the router to operate in both
modes. I think I'm correct there.
What I am having a hard time understanding is when to use the one or the
other. Any guidelines that I can follow? in this lab I was doing, I used
sparse-mode and the final says sparse-dense-mode. I'd hate to lose these
points for not being sure.
Also, what is the purpose of running pim on a loopback? This is not a
transit interface or an interface that can have hosts of off it. Am I
missing something?
Thanks,
Danny
