Hi Everyone,
Now, it is my turn to right this e-mail. I have received my number for
Routing and Switching on Saturday, September 28 at RTP.
I started working on getting Cisco Certifications 3 years ago. I have
received CCNA, then CCNP, wrote my CCIE written last year and received my
number this year. It has been a long and interesting journey.
Basically, I have started my CCIE preparation by purchasing Solie's CCIE
book. After getting this book I have purchased 9 2500 series router and
Cat5000 switch. In a few months after I bought all of this equipment, Cisco
has changed lab format and my Cat3500 and 3 2513 Token Ring routers became
obsolete. Thankfully, I have met a great man - Paul Lalonde, who was
preparing for his CCIE number at the time and have allowed me to access his
rack to practice with voice, ATM and 3550 switches. Shortly after, I have
purchased Caslow book - Routers Bridges and Switches, Doyle 1 and 2 and
Halabi BGP textbook. I strongly recommend to everyone to buy and read those
books cover to cover at least three times. Also, I have printed a good
chunk of Cisco Doc CD and read it multiple times.
I have also attented CyscoExpert CCIE bootcamp in Chicago. At CyscoExpert,
I have learned to build up my confidence, precision and improve my skills in
all key areas. They have developed an excellent program and I highly
recommend them to anyone pursuing this goal.
Now, special thanks to Bahram, Naren and Peter at CyscoExpert for helping me
to achieving this certification. Bahram - congratulations to you on the
birth of your brand new daughter.
I would like to give my special thanks and appreciation to Paul Lalonde. He
is a great guy with big heart and lots of brains.
Getting this certification is very difficult. It involves a lot of time,
money and dedication. But like anything else in life, it is doable if you
really really really really really want it.
Good luck to all of you in your endeavours.
