What pim mode should I make multicast loopbacks?

In order to use the loopback address as a RP, you have to put an ip pim
mode on the interface.
 
Question, which one?
 
I've used sparse-dense-mode, and I've used sparse mode. Couldn't tell
the difference.
 
Sparse mode makes more sense.
