It is a moot point really. Any CCIE should be able to sit down and pass the
CCNA test easily (with one possible exception). I am so used to trying in
shortcuts for commands, I don't remember the full IOS commands any more. It
could be very difficult if you have to type in full commands.

Seriously though, I think the problem might be that they could use two
different tracking systems for the CCIE track vs the CCNA/CCNP tracks. I
don't if it is still that way, but it seemed to me a few years ago that they
were different tracking systems.

Has anyone heard of anybody getting the CCNA test waived if they have
already passed their CCIE R/S ?
 
It appears that Cisco still wants the CCIEs to sit for the CCNA tests if
they want to pursue a professional track , like the CCSP.
 
I am sure some of you guys probably passed the CCIE without going through
the process of taking the CCNA , CCDP , etc.
