Has anyone used an Adtran Atlas 550? I am working with a school that has 3
of them for 3 different racks of equipment. They are acting as a frame
switch and isdn simulator and have the added flexibility of being able to
also act as a point to point switch. This way the lab can be switched from
frame relay to point to point by configuring the Adtran instead of recabling
from a frame switch to back to back cables.
Anyway, this is working great for each rack, what I am wondering is if there
is a way to interconnect the Adtran so that I can build a frame/PPP/ISDN
circuit that crosses chassis. That way I could interconnect all the Adtran
and when needed use all the devices in the lab as one big lab. We currently
have the Ethernet switches trunked together and use that for some big
projects, but we would like to do the same for the WAN connections.
