Is OSPF LSA update unicast for p2mp network?

Jeff Doyle's Routing TCP/IP vol.1 says that for
point-to-multipoint networks, the OSPF packets are
multicast. But my lab testing shows only the Hello
packets are multicast, the LSA updates are actually
unicast. Is the book wrong? Please confirm. Thanks!
