If an ISP's customer doesn't have his own AS #, his routes will appear to
have been originated by the ISP.
So it depends on the question, if you are told to filter an ISP & his
customer, doing exactly that will filter customer who has their own AS and
customers who don't.

Subject: BGP customers?
Hi Guys,
Typically, in the real world, an ISP's customers don't have their own
registered AS number. But, in the lab, if wer'e told to filter the prefixes
of an ISP's customers, should we assume then, this ISP's customers have
their
own AS number unless we're given the actual prefixes?
Thanks, Tim
