There was a discussion thread some time ago about how exams are marked using automated scripts. I asked a proctor about this and was told that simple aspects of the config are automatically graded whilst all of the complicated stuff is done by the proctor. I was left wondering whether things like load-threshold might be picked-up by the script which might just be ...THAT mean!!

Ajaz,
Actually the range starts at '1', so technically the 50% value would be
127.5. Now if you consider that '1' is the "special case", then it
really starts at 2-255, whereas the range is really 253 values, with the
middle being the 126th value in the range. When starting at 2, the
126th value in the range is, in fact, 128. However, most practice labs
that I see actually refer to 127 being the "50%" answer due to the
reason Chris mentioned below - 128 would have the circuit come up at
50.2%, which is too high.
Having this said, I believe that for the lab, either 127 or 128 would be
correct. I don't think that the people that grade these exams are
-THAT- mean! :)

rounding up 127.5 to the nearest whole number is indeed 128 as you
stated.
if you're presented with entering a value from 0-255 than you have 256
right
?,
and so in this case it's definately 128 imho.

I know this is a small point, but can anyone confirm for me how the
proctors
expect the dialer load-threshold values to be rounded? If you are told,
for
example, to bring-up the second bri channel at 50% load then
mathematically
this is 255/2 = 127.5. Should this be configured as 127 or 128? I think
it
should be 127 because technically if it were 128, the load would have to
reach 50.2% before the line would come up. So I would always round-down
to
the next lowest number whatever the % yields.
????
Thanks,
Chris.
