Hi John,
Well, it all depends on what you want to acheive. If you want the local
preference to be 200 for everything coming in from a specific neighbor, than
you wont need to match on the as-path. However, if the quesiton is dealing
with a specific subset of all possible routes, then you will want to narrow
it down a little, with a match as-path as you have done. And... dont
forget... if you are narrowing it down, then make sure you have another
'route-map local pref permit X' to let all the other routes in that dont
match the preceding statements.
