I'm sure this one comes from cisco. Actually I've said such in
courses... (and just checked it's false nowadays)

Static route out of an interface, AD 0
Static route to a next hop, AD 1

I've run in some situations like those, some in this list, when I was
sure about how something worked (because I labbed something and thus I
*learned* it) only to discover that it does not work that way any
longer! The way dialer watch works...
