Hi all,
I am having a hard time understand a scenrio from one of my lab books.
The questions asks configure custom queuing between r4 to r2 on dlci 402.
Requirements
on R4
assign dlsw to queue 1
tcp lt 1024 to queue 2
from fa0/0 to queue 3
default queue 4
maximum queue depth for queue 1 is 60 packets and default for the rest
(this is were i have a problem)
assign 50% of the bandwidth to Q1
25% to Q2
15% to Q3
10% to Q4
no byte count is set for any of the Qs
all the rest of the config I understand.
so their solution is
queue-list 1 queue 1 byte-count 4000 limit 60
queue-list 1 queue 2 byte-count 2000
queue-list 1 queue 3 byte-count 1200
queue-list 1 queue 4 byte-count 800
(The traffic-rate is 64000 96000)
So I default the packet size to 1500 right?
and my calculation is:
50/1500=.03333
25/1500=.01667
15/1500=.01
10/1500=.00667
then i normalize the # by /lowest number (.00667)
and i get (with being rounded up) q1=5, q2=3, q3=2, q4=1
Then times the 1500x5, x3, x2, x1 to get the byte-count for each queue
my calculations come out to 7500,4500,3000,1500
what am I missing here?
Thanks
