Hi guys,
I'm trying to figure out the best solution to the multicast
section of this lab and understand what's at the root of the problem.
The problem is that the configuration in the SG doesn't work.
While I can't totally eliminate problems with the IGP or BGP config's
as the root cause of the mcast, except for a continuing problem with
a flapping isdn link, everything seems OK - there's full reachability
between all the backbones and routers and switches.
One way I found to solve the problem with mcast is to config
mcast on R4's f/r subinterfaces. Once I do that, all the routers
and switches can see R3, the BSR and the rpf failures seem to go away -
at least for a while.
Has anyone else had these problems and figured out the best way to fix them?
TIA, Tim
