The task didn't allow that. I think the point of the task was to show that p2p sub aren't needed toaccomplish this taks.
See IE lab 18, task 2.1 - 2.4

Hi Tim,
Since you are using different ip's for virtual teplates, why did'nt you create two point to point subinterfaces and assigned virtual templeates to those two point to point interfaces;
eg:int s 0.1 point to point
frame-relay interface-dlci xxx ppp virtual-template 1
int s 0.2 poin to point
frame-relay interface dlci yyy ppp virtual-template 2
thanks

Hi guys,
This is my config
interface Serial1/0
no ip address
encapsulation frame-relay
frame-relay interface-dlci 301 ppp Virtual-Template2
frame-relay interface-dlci 305 ppp Virtual-Template1
interface Virtual-Template1
ip address 156.1.35.3 255.255.255.0
!
interface Virtual-Template2
ip address 156.1.15.3 255.255.255.0
What I don't understand is why in the output below don't I see an ip address
for Virtual-Access1
but there's one for Virtual-Access3?
Also, why does it say "TFTP" under the Method column for the Virtual-Access2 &
3 interface?
Can anyone help me think like a router with this?
Interface IP-Address OK? Method Status
Protocol
Virtual-Access1 unassigned YES unset down
down
Virtual-Template1 156.1.35.3 YES manual down
down
Virtual-Access2 156.1.15.3 YES TFTP up
up
Virtual-Template2 156.1.15.3 YES manual down
down
Virtual-Access3 156.1.35.3 YES TFTP up
up
TIA, Tim
