Couldn't resist either ...so into the fray with both feet !!
I find this discussion a bit rich as I know quite a few CCIE's who got their number due to practicing on
braindump labs from other candidates. In fact I know one guy who played a statistical game with this as he had quite
a few braindump labs that he used to call the ".xxx lab" ".yyy lab" ( after the 2nd Octet of the ip add range ) so by playing a game of probabilities he was pretty sure he would get the ".xxx lab" so he practiced on it one day before the lab exam and lo-and-behold he got that exact paper ...and his number of course. How do I know this ? He rang me straight after the exam ! How would any of you know thats how he got his number ? he had also studied for as long as any of us and had quite a bit of practical experience as well ...so how the hell would you tell ? Can a CCIE answer every question there is ?
What about the guy with 20 years experience and fails the CCIE ...is he less of an Engineer than the guy with a number ?
