Your question was is there anyway you can configure the dot1x so that you do
not lock your self out of the box and I said there is no way to lock your
self out with a dot1x since the configuration of "authentication dot1x
{default} method1" since that commadn alone does not enable the dot1x on the
port level.

BTW, Though other keywords are visible in the command-line help string, only
the default and group radius keywords are supported. that should be no to
your last question - Can't we assign the aaa group for > dot1x a specific
name so it is not automatically assigned to every line (which is the case
when using the default name). Since only "default" keyword is supported.
