IRDP address and DHCP default router address

Hi all,

I have 2 qestions about IRDP.

1. irdp address

ip irdp address 131.108.14.6 50

Is this the same function as HSRP ip?
I tested it, however it seems to me that it has no the same function as HSRP ip;
for instance, a router on same Lan didnot access outside network via set ip default next-hop to this address.

2. DHCP default router address

R1/R2/Cat are on the same LAN (R1=10.10.10.1 Cat 10.10.10.10)
R1 & Cat should act as GW on the LAN, and also R2 as DHCP server.
On R2s IP DHCP pool, how should I conf default router address?

ip dhcp pool 1
 default 10.10.10.1 10.10.10.10

or

ip dhcp pool 1
 default 10.10.10.3 <======= ip irdp address on R1/Cat

Any comments.
