Duane,
You must be referring to the methods of making the OSPF route not to appear
as a host address (/32) in the routing table but to appear with the mask you
configured it with.
They are three methods as you said, but I have not labbed all three to
verify them:
1. Change the ospf network type of the loopback interface.
2. Summarize the address.
3. redistributed connected.
