Hi,
Switchport voice vlan dot1p, will use Priority Tag on Port Vlan ID (PVID).
how the IP Phone marks the Priority bits on an access Link.... as the .1P
bits exist only on a trunk inside the dot1Q/ISL Header .. Can anyone
elaborate ?
Further, 3550 Config guide states : -
*
switchport voice vlan dot1p
*
Instruct the switch port to use IEEE 802.1p priority tagging for voice
traffic
and to use the default native VLAN (*VLAN 0)* to carry all traffic. By
default,
the Cisco IP phone forwards the voice traffic with an IEEE 802.1p priority
of 5.
*Is it a Typo ? Coz the default native vlan is always 1.*
TIA
Shanky
