This explaination also apply for IPv6. If router 1 on port 0/1 needs to communicate with r6 on port 0/6 via IPv6 (on same IPv6 subnet), then fall back bridging provides IPv6 communicaiton b/t r1 and r6. Check on the doccd, they have good explanation for fall back bridging. All you need to configure both port 01/ and 0/6 on the same bridge group even though they are on difference vlan, then put brigde x protocol vlan-bridge. Basically, you bridge the vlan instead of bridge the protocal specific like when you configure bridge on router.
