RE: How to enable 'Broadcast' in Classical IP

Hi team

When I was searching, I got the following info from the pasted URL.
Where I see the ospf is enabled across atm using neighbor commands. I
still had the doubt and not fully convinced as the eigrp across the CLIP
used to work without neighbor statement in our LAB (using only
multicast).

Below is the lines from the URL. It may be a older IOS limitation?

"Routing

Classical IP over ATM does not have a broadcast mechanism. The lack of
broadcast support complicates routing. Neighbor statements with optional
priority settings have to be put in for OSPF for every router in the
Logical IP Subnet"

Yes it is enabled by default. Look at the "show atm map" output and you
will see that "broadcast" is included in the mappings. You can also
test this by pinging 255.255.255.255 and you should get a response from
all devices on the CLIP segment.
