RE: Telnet to the AS server telnet problem

May sound like a silly question but did you add passwords to the vty? Also
isn't aux 0 used for modem connection or as a second console/line versus as
an Ethernet port? I've used an aux port on a term server as an additional
line to reverse telnet to another router - but not as an Ethernet port.....

Thanks,

Ian

Subject: Telnet to the AS server telnet problem

Hi Group members,

Can someone tell me how to read this telnet debug
output?
the AUX 0 (ethernet 0) has public IP address and when
I try telnet to connect to the 2511 AS server, I got

[Connection to XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX closed by foreign host]

on the 2511
line aux 0
 exec-timeout 0 0
 login local
line vty 0 4
 exec-timeout 0 0
 login local
