If you are using NBAR or QPPB to mark your traffic, you will need to
enable CEF. Otherwise, I think CEF and QoS are mutually exclusive.
Also, I found out the other day that in the 12.4 train you don't have to
enable NBAR to mark traffic via protocol (for well-known protocols at
least).

In QOS questions, some of the lab practice books enabling CEF and some
dont.Can some body shed a light that as General rule, when we need to
anable
CEF and when we do not need to enable it when configuring Qos on
routers.
