I believe you can do back-to-back frame relay connections between the frame
relay switch and its directly connected routers using a subinterface at the
sametime switch frames on the same physical interface.
example:
FRS switches frames from R1 to R2 (vice versa) and at the same time has a
back-to-back frame relay connection to R1.
-FRS-
int s0
encap frame
frame lmi-type cisco
frame intf-type dce
clockrate 64000
frame route 102 int s1 201
int s0.1 m
ip add 10.0.0.7 255.255.255.0
frame map ip 10.0.0.1 111 broad
-R1-
int s0
encap frame
frame lmi-type cisco
int s0.1 m
ip add 10.0.0.1 255.255.255.0
frame map ip 10.0.0.7 111 broad
However, I don't think the FRS can participate to the common frame relay cloud
with other routers in that set-up. But if one of your routers do have an
additional serial interface, then you can connect one serial interface of your
FRS to that router and extend your cloud using tunnels.
