The bottom line here IMO is that EIGRP adj/hellos always work via 
multicast, regardless if you have neighbor statement or not. And it is 
not connected to split horizon in any way, this comes into play later 
when actual updates are sent.
So attention must be paid especially to NBMA configured for multicast.
Please correct me if I am mistaken here.
