That's a great point about it! Even if the IOS does support IPSec, and even
if it does fall into the grey area of "anything is fair game", keep in mind
that this is the R&S exam not the Security exam.

using pre-shared keys. So I wouldn't stress out about it at all. There's
nothing fancy about this config, no multi-policy arrangements, no
certificates or evil things like that. Know where to find IPSec on the
DocCD and cut-n-paste a documented configuration (perhaps chaning IP
addresses).
No worries! After all the other miscellaneous things to decipher and find
in the documentation, this should be the the least of anyone's worries!

i don't think this is true. but to be sure you should do what i did and
that is ask.
i asked which ios version will be used. i looked up the feature set and
there's no ipsec in the ios, so no ipsec vpn's in the lab. don't know what
the ios is now so maybe there will be. just ask and you'll know.
