The virtual link BELONGS to area 0. So that should assist you in
determining which way you want to go!

Subject: virtula-link authentication
hello GS ,
got a little confusion on ospf virtual link authentication.
am i gonna authenticate the transit area or the backbone area ?
i.e.
i mean if area 0 is md5 and the transit area is plain text, which one do i
use on the virtual link?
TIA
