EIGRP uses neighbor tables which is a link state routing protocol feature.
EIGRP also maintains a topology table, similar to a link state protocol.
EIGRP does not send out it's entire route table with each update. EIGRP
also sends out hello packets.
It does not use the SPF algorithm though, as link state protocols use, EIGRP
uses the DUAL algorithm.
I would suggest searching for EIGRP on the Doc CD...you can read all about
it...
