Thanks everyone for your input. i configured username to match both sides in addition i configure ppp pap sent-username R# password

Ie. on R2:
Username R5 pass cisco
On R5:

Hello everyone,
i need to find out if i am missing something in the config below.
i am running ospf between R2 and R5. when i enabled encapsulation ppp
my interface went down. can someone explain why?
