Use the www.cisco.com/go/fn to see the Characteristics of the Router. The
1751 should be OK, I do not have played a lot with them so I'm not the
appropriate person to make a comment about, but if you look at the features
this routers runs, my guess is that is safe for the preparation.

The following in my rack

Hi All,

For the CCIE R&S you will need to know this all topics from inside to
outside http://www.internetworkexpert.com/resources/ccielaboutline.htm

They also have a recommendation of routers and switches for the preparation
http://www.internetworkexpert.com/resources/ccierack.htm

Learning how to use www.cisco.com/univercd is very useful for your CCIE Lab
Preparation, so I would recommend you this Class on Demand (COD) to begin
with http://www.internetworkexpert.com/resources/doccd.htm

I think you need

1x router for FR Switch
1 more router to make BB together with 17xx to be BB as well.

Of course, I must have a 3550/3560 (1 or 2) for switching lab.

Is that help?
