Forwarding state vs. reconvergence

All,

I wanted to through this topic out there and get some input and
clarification. It is my understanding that the listening and learning
timers run from the same "forward-delay" timers. So, If I was needing to
finish listening and learning state and get to my forwarding state in less
than 15 seconds, I would use forwarding-delay 7 (forwarding delay x 2 =
seconds to get to forwarding state). Now if I was needing to get through
reconvergence in a certian amount of time, I would have to consider the MAC
address max age timers. So, If I was needing to have my vlan reconverge in
less than 18 seconds I would use a formula like this: Mac address timers +
(forwarding delay x 2 = reconvergence time. Is this correct sounding?
