Hello everyone,
i need a help about redistribute anytime i do it i get routing loop.
i am doing ipexpert workbook R&S section 21 lab C.
scenario:
R1 is running ospf area 0 with R2 on fastethernet.
There is frame relay running on R2,R4,R5 and R6
R2 is running eigrp on the frame link with R4, R5 and R6 and also running rip with R5 on second Serial1.
R5 is running ospf area 0 with R6 and R7 on FastEthernet, eigrp on frame relay link with R2, R4, and R6 on serial interface, running rip with R2 on serial 1
R6 is running ospf area 0 with R5 and R7 on FastEthernet, eigrp on frame relay link with R2, R4, and R5 on serial interface
R4 is just running eigrp with R2, R5, and R6 on frame link.
R7 is running ospf area 0 with R5 and R6 on fastethernet and area 0 on serial connection with R8
R8 is running ospf area 0 with R7 on serial and rip with BB2
My configuration looks like this:
On R2 i redistribute rip into ospf and eigrp, on eigrp i redistribute rip and ospf and finally on ospf i redistribute rip and eigrp
On R5 i redistribute rip into ospf and eigrp, on eigrp i redistribute rip and ospf and finally on ospf i redistribute rip and eigrp
On R6 i redistribute ospf into eigrp and eigrp into ospf
On R8 redistribute rip into ospf and ospf into rip.
i am getting routing loop when i ping from R6 to R1
i can't ping from R7 or R8 to either R5,R6 or R7.
Can someone explain what i am doing wrong. i know there are a lot of redistribution maybe i am not suppose to redistribute somewhere.
