In a VoIP environment you will use it for music on hold.

Anyone who uses RIPv2, OSPF and EIGRP may also use multicast!!!

As I sit here and read Routing TCP/IP Vol II for the 3rd time.

 

I'm on Chapter 5 going over IP Multicast and wondering why in the heck
am I being tested on this subject. I've never had to deploy it other
than with Ghost

A few years back. Does anyone even use this protocol in the real world
