   Tim,
   I think the ideas will work if you have a multiple
Dynamips that simulate physical networks: say PC with
6 FastE. interfaces , ...
  The bottleneck are still ASA, and VPN stuffs ( $$$$
).
  I am working on the Security myself and probably
invest on a laptop ( Dual-Core, 2G RAM ) : That will
get some serious network simulation on the road at any
given place ! 
   Have anyone done more practical stuff ??? please
share .
