My understanding is that:
Check the ospf database, for loopback, OSPF treat it as a stub network, and
so the network mask is 255.255.255.255.
If i can the network type to point-to-point, ospf will treat it as a transit
network, then the network mask sets according to the interface's network
mask.

Subject: OSPF configuration explanation Lookpback 0

Hello Group,

Is there any explanation why when I set the interface loopback 0 as a "ip
ospf
network point-to-point":

Rack1R2(config)#int lo0
Rack1R2(config-if)#ip ospf network point-to-point

It is being learned as a /24 instead a /32:

     150.1.0.0/24 is subnetted, 2 subnets
O 150.1.2.0 [110/65] via 163.1.12.2, 00:00:05, Serial0/3/0
Rack1R1#

I mean which caracteristic of the point-to-point network make it is being
shown as a /24 ?

Regards
