PortChannel Load-balance

Hi, everyone.
I'd like to know how to choose an EtherChannel load-balancing method when I configure the etherchannel.
   On CD,
src-mac!*Load distribution using the source-MAC address.

6&1dst-mac!*Load distribution using the destination-MAC address.

The default is src-mac.

When src-mac is used, load distribution based on the source and destination IP address is also enabled. For all IP traffic being routed, the switch chooses a port for transmission based on the source and destination IP address. Packets between two IP hosts always use the same port for packet transmission, but packets between any other pair of hosts might use a different transmission port

   ON 3560, support src-ip, dst-ip, src-dst-ip method.
Which kind of circumstance will be suitable for above methods, Any examples ?

By the way, even if I put port-channel loadbalance into src-dst-ip mode, it will still be src-mac mode if the traffic are switched only. do i miss here?

Thanks!
