Hi All,

could any1 tell me how to make a backup RP (not Anycast of course)

for example if i have R1 RP for 224.1.1.1, and i want R2 to be Backup RP for R1 for the same group 224.1.1.1

does this solution is correct:

R1:

ip pim rp-candidate loopback 0 group-list 1 priority 50
!
access-list 1 permit host 224.1.1.1

R2:

ip pim rp-candidate loopback 0 group-list 1 priority 100
!
access-list 1 permit host 224.1.1.1

Is this solution ok, is there any other solution without using BSR
