On switches: system mtu 1500.
on 3560 - check current SDM profile.

Both might save you another reboot since both require a reboot.

P.S.: there's also env.dat, but it may have something important there that
you want to keep.

For a router yes but on a switch you're going to need to remove your VTP and
VLAN information.

delete vlan.dat

I believe there are one or two more file but I forgot the names. Just do a
dir and delete anything but the IOS image.

running-config and want to reload the router/switch with no config on it.
