Hi,
This is what I am doing about time off to study.
I saved up personal leave. We get 4 weeks a year annual leave by law.
By September I will have about 7 weeks annual leave, saved up some from last
year because I knew I would be studying for CCIE in 07.
I also do after hours work. Monday - Wednesday 5 extra hours a night, so
that 25 hours. Instead of taking the overtime money, I save up the time Lieu
and claim for cash when I need some extra (mainly for rack rentals). On
September 24th I will be taking all off this leave at once, a whole 11 weeks
I think. I will be using something like 8 of these weeks to study for the
lab and I plan to take a holiday for 3 weeks. If I don't make up 11 weeks by
September I have it in writing from work that I can get unpaid leave for the
balance.
Hopefully I pass first time! Otherwise I'll have to wait some time to save
up leave again.
