RE: WEB Interface for routers and switches. [mx]Thanks Victor,
I shall have to check it out because it's important to be aware of what
different options exist to administrate devices. I found VSM to be buggy but
it was years ago.
In the past when I first encountered PIX I configured with CLI while our
customer used PDM to administrate theirs. The connection failed. It was
assumed that we must have problems because we didn't use PDM and a complaint
made. I changed nothing on our side. Two days later the connection worked.
Go figure ;)

  Hi Gary
Yes I agree, I also like the CLI, but to do a quick work, SDM is very cool,
like for example:

00aecd800fd118.html
About the VSM this is what I found
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/switches/ps607/products_tech_note09186
a0080094709.shtml
I never used VSM before; so I can not compare it with SDM,
it is very similar to PDM

here are some screen Snapshot of the SDM Web Interface

  thanks,

  Hi Victor,
  About these gui's..
I remember something horrid called.. was it VSM? Visual Switch Manager?
years back when I had to first work on 2900XLs. Is it like that? I soon
used
command line on those. There's also PDM last time I worked with PIX. Again
much preferred command line so used that.
  Thanks
  Gary
