Guys,
So I have done an image transfer to the flash on a 3550 and afterwards
deleted the existing image of the switch, and now the switch goes into
rommon because the image i have just tranffered on to it is not yet in
the .bin format. I was mean to issue the "archive download-sw"
command, but did a copy tftp flash instead.
I can see the .tar file on the flash of the switch, but as this is the
archive, the switch wont boot.
Please is there a way I can un-archive this .tar file on the flash of
the switch, or do I have to do a new "xmodem" transfer for a new image
(which I am meant to believe is a painful process).?
