Both NSSA and Stub areas will allow LSA types 1-3 but NSSA areas will allow
type 7 LSAs as well, which carry information about destinations external to
the OSPF AS. I would think the determining factor is if the requirements
state to allow routes from outside the OSPF AS (EIGRP, RIP, etc.) to be
advertised within the area or not. If not then go with stub, if yes then go
with NSSA.
