It is certainly odd!   We have ip addresses from the same subnet on two 
p-p frame subifs on R1, 172.16.124.1/24 and 172.16.124.2/24.  If you do 
show ip route you see 172.16.124.0/24 associated with both interfaces.  
What sorts this out is the OSPF P-M network type, which models the 
subnet as a collection of point-to-points.
