Hi Matemane,
generally speaking this command only need on Ethernet interfaces, but when
to use it or not it's totally deepening on the physical topology and the HW
used, and the MPLS application running on your network.
Let's say you are running MPLS-VPN so once the Packet received by the
ingress-LSR (PE) it's gone be attached with 2 Labels (Egress-LSR Label
learned by IGP and VPN label learned by MBGP) so now you have extra 8 bytes
added to the packet (4 bytes for each label) so now if the packet received
with packet size 1500 bytes now it's should be send or injected into the
MPLS Core routers "P" with 1508 bytes, once the packet transit Ethernet
interface the problem may be appear if The LSR connected to another LSR
over L2 switch that doesn't support Jampo Frames or Baby gaint Frames, in
this case you should decrease the MPLS MTU on the LSRs Ethernet interfaces.
