Pasting a config to the console

I am sure everyone has encountered this before.

When pasting a large config from the clipboard to the console line you
run into buffer problems and only some of the config goes in.

I was wondering whether anyone out there might have a geek nob to
prevent/fix this from happening and having to stick the config in bit by
bit.
I know the config can be copied with TFTP,FTP etc but this is not the
answer that I am looking for.
